OUR 2014 PLANS, WHAT ARE YOURS?

It’s getting towards the end of another January and the impending Self Assessment deadline will be soon behind us. As I look back at the last 12 months and the blog post I wrote this time last year, it’s great to see how we have delivered the solutions that I talked about.

The Blog

This blog started last January and has discussed subjects from business giving to cloud accounting and the opening of the long awaited First Direct Arena here in Leeds!

Cloud Accounting – Xero

Our partnership with Xero has been a great success during the past year. 2013 saw us obtain Silver Partner status and we now have six Xero Certified Advisors.

We have seen clients take more control of their finances and saving time in the process. Our event in the summer at Weetwood Hall, Leeds enabled a large group of clients and non clients to see first hand from ourselves and Xero themselves how their business lives can be changed. During 2014, we will be making Xero available to more clients. For example if you are spending time keeping your records on spreadsheets, you can spend less time with Xero, spend more time on your business and get more useful information for your business.

Document Exchange

Our secure document exchange service, OpenSpace, has been adopted by a large proportion of our clients during 2013 for transferring data backups and delivering and electronically signing documents. So far in January, more than 85% of clients electronically signed their tax returns using OpenSpace, saving them both time and money.

Fixed Price Agreements

As we went through 2013, more clients used fixed price agreements to spread payment of their fees and agree their fees in advance. If you haven’t done this yet, please get in touch.

So what are we doing for 2014?

Last year’s themes were all about saving time and money and helping you run your business more efficiently. This year, things are no different.

We are continuing to help more clients with our cloud services of Xero and OpenSpace. More clients will benefit from the budgeting and certainty of Fixed Price Agreements.

Events for you

We have secured Steve Pipe again to present the £2 Million Seminar on 19 February at Weetwood Hall, Leeds. If you want to know how to:

  • Get more from your business
  • Strengthen your cashflow
  • Improve your margin
  • Compare where you are to others in your industry

Keep your finger firmly on the pulse of the key numbers in the businessthis will be the most productive day you spend in 2014. Last year’s seminar is probably best summed up by one client who said I cannot imagine a business that wouldn’t benefit massively from attending”

Because of the great feedback of the last event and the massive benefits available, we are covering the costs for readers of this blog for a limited time, so just visit www.uwm2million2014.eventbrite.co.uk and use the Promotional Code UWM2014

In the summer, we will be running another event with Xero so you can see Xero in action and how it will help you. If you are interested in the event or Xero, please let us know.

Business Giving with B1G1

In 2013, our giving impacted 45,119 lives. In 2014, we plan to build on this giving and help more people than last year. If this is something that resonates with you and your business, please get in touch with me to see how your business can also make a difference just by doing what you do.

As readers of this blog will be aware, we are partners of the global initiative B1G1. B1G1 have recently appointed us as Certified Contributors, something the whole team are very proud of.
