What do I do at UWM?
As a Director I am involved in the planning and general organisation of the office, our employees and the work flow. In essence I try to keep everyone happy and everything operating smoothly. Not always an easy task but rewarding when it works. Together with Jonathan and Chris, we all carry out the strategic planning for the business.
I am a Xero Certified Advisor and love the way Xero helps us run our own accounts more efficiently than we ever have in the past.

What’s different about UWM?
We have always attempted to be approachable, friendly and available for our clients no matter how minor or major their problems may be. It is also very important to us that all our employees work with us as a team and feel important within that team.
If I didn’t work at UWM…
I would like to be a philanthropist if (I had enough money)
Three random facts about me…
I like fast cars, helping people and wine!
Fourth random fact…
In October 2011, I was selected by Virgin Atlantic as part of a group of 14 to travel to Kenya to help build a school funded by the Virgin’s chosen charity, Free The Children. I also learnt about the amazing work the charity carries out in providing education for school aged children, implementing clean water systems and other schools being built in the area. The majority of villages have no clean water, which is one of the main causes of infant death.
With the help of friends, family and clients, I raised over £5,000 towards the charity’s causes. The trip was a wonderful life experience. I met many amazing people and as a group we now support a young girl throughout her school life giving her the chance of education. I feel very lucky to have had the chance to take part in this life-changing experience.
Building on my experiences, the Company has partnered with the global initiative B1G1 (Buy 1 Give1) to further develop the Company’s giving to related causes.
