January Accounting Dates

14th January “ Payments and filing for CT61 Income Tax for the quarter to 31st December are due on the 14th.
31st January “ The last day of January marks the deadline to pay and submit your Self-Assessment Tax Return for the tax year ending 5th April 2022.
31st January “ The final day of January also marks the First Payment on Account for Income Tax is due for the financial year 2022/2023.

February Accounting Dates

2nd February “ The due date for the submission of P46 (Car) for the quarter ending 5th January is in early February.

March Accounting Dates

1st March “ New Advisory Fuel Rates (AFR) come into force from today. These new rates are used to calculate how much employees should be reimbursed for business travel in company cars and whether they need to repay fuel costs used for private travel.

April Accounting Dates

5th April “ In the UK the tax year begins on April 5th, making this the final day of the tax year of 2022/2023.
6th April “ This is the first day of the new tax year for 2023. Annual tax rate or allowance changes typically come into effect on this day.
19th April “ Deadline for filing final PAYE Return for Employers for the periods 6th January 2023 to 5th April 2023.

May Accounting Dates

3rd May “ This is the final day to submit P46 (Car) for employees whose car/fuel benefits changed during the quarter to 5th April 2023.
31st May “ Deadline for employees to receive P60 for the 2022-2023 tax year.

June Accounting Dates

1st June “ New Advisory Fuel rates for company car users to be used from this date.

July Accounting Dates

5th July “ Deadline to reach PAYE Settlement Agreement for the 2022/23 tax year.
6th July “ Submissions for P11D are due for the 2022/2023 tax year.
6th July “ Returns of information on employee Share Incentive should be filed on or before this date.
31st July “ Deadline for Second Payments On Account.

August Accounting Dates

3rd August “ This marks the final day to submit P46 for employees whose car/fuel benefits changed during the quarter to 5th July 2023.

September Accounting Dates

1st September “ Updated Advisory Fuel Rates (AFR) for company car users come into force today.

October Accounting Dates

5th October “ Deadline by which you must inform HMRC if you will need to submit a Self Assessment registration for the tax year 2022/2023. This will include Income and Capital Gains Tax and will apply to people who have new self employment, or registering a partner or partnership.
31st October “ All Paper Self Assessment tax returns are due at the end of October.

November Accounting Dates

2nd November “ This is the final day to submit P46 for employees whose car/fuel benefits changed during the quarter to 5th October 2023.

December Accounting Dates

1st December “ Updated Advisory Fuel Rates (AFR) for company car users come into force today.

Recurring Monthly & Quarterly Deadlines/Due Dates

7th “ VAT Return submission and payment Deadline

The deadline for VAT Returns, manual payments of accounting and submissions, is due on the 7th of the second month after the end of each quarter. eg December return is due for submission on 7 February.

14th “ Corporation Tax Quarterly Instalment Due Date

Instalment payments of corporation tax that are made quarterly, normally within accounting periods of 12 months, must be paid on the 14th after the end of the quarter.

19th “ Deadline for postal CIS, NICs and PAYE payment

If you pay CIS, NICs and PAYE by cheque through the post, it must reach HMRC by the 19th of the month.

22nd “ Electronic remittance Deadline for CIS, NICs and PAYE

You must account for your CIS, NICs and PAYE bills to HMRC by the 22nd of the next month if you pay monthly. And if you pay quarterly, this will be the 22nd after the end of the quarter.

Annual Due Dates for Limited Companies

12 months after year end “ Annual Filing Corporation Tax Due Date

12 months after the end of your limited company’s financial year, you must file your tax return to work out your profit or loss for corporation tax and your overall Corporation Tax bill. If this is filed late you will receive a penalty depending on how overdue the filing is.

12 months after year end “ Company Accounts Filing Due Date HMRC

Statutory accounts must be filed from the company’s financial records 12 months after the end of the limited company’s financial year. Likewise, a penalty is attached to the failure of completing the filing on time.

9 months after year end “ Company Accounts Filing Due Date Companies House

9 months after your accounting period, annual accounts must be filed with Companies House.

9 months and 1 day after year end – Corporation Tax payment due date

9 months and 1 day after your accounting period, a Company’s Corporation Tax Liability is due for payment

Individual Deadlines/Due Dates

60 days after property sale “ Reporting and paying Capital Gains Tax

If you have a capital gain on the disposal of a residential property you must make a submission of the calculated gain and full payment of the tax due within 60 days of the completion date of the property sale.
